Free Estimate (appointments preferred)

Bring in your plans and/or dimensions for a one-hour consultation including: the scope of your project, the products and services we offer and preliminary product selection(s). An estimate will be provided -- often a second meeting is scheduled to review the estimate. A significant amount of time and effort goes into preparing an estimate. Because the very nature of a custom project offers such a vast range of possibilities, a one-on-one review in our showroom is required.

Jobsite Measure/Consultation

$1,000.00 non-refundable fee includes a jobsite consultation, field measure and review of estimate in our showroom. The estimate review may or may not include preliminary drawings; no drawings are released until the “design phase” has begun. The fee is deductible from the purchase of cabinetry only.

Design Retainer

A fee of 20% of the estimate (regardless of the final project cost) starts the design phase. Project and product specifications are finalized during this phase along with detailed drawings, budget parameters and final pricing. The retainer fee is non-refundable; it is deductible from the purchase of cabinetry only.

Contract/Order

Upon contract signing, 100% of the total contract cost is collected and starts the order phase.

Delivery/Installation

Designer(s) will be on-site as necessary throughout the installation phase. design solutions, inc. does not provide installation. We can recommend one of our preferred contractors.

Design Only

Includes consultation, definition of scope, estimate of project, labeled drawings/plans, elevations and specifications. Fees are commensurate with level of detail requested. Fees typically range from $1,500 to $5,000 and include approximately 15 to 40 hours of design, project pricing and drawing time.
